Completely apples and oranges. Telecommunications has changed everything. There is no longer a way to isolate ideas and inoculate populations from them. Religions and tribalism are here to stay because their ideas appeal to people and the philosophies can be spread online.
Telecommunications promotes tribalism? I’m not suggesting to isolate ideas, which is what religion does, but to allow them to flourish. No religious based schools. No separation of the sexes. No religious attire at school or in work settings. Schools that teach thinking and questioning rather than rote learning. Do this long enough, and across all of society, and few would want to go back to the stone age.
Or are you suggesting that Muslims can never be brought into the modern age?
But your solution is quite authoritarian. I would allow all the philosophies the right to exist but ensure that no one can use force to shut down schools of thought. Then some sort if intellectual evolution should separate the wheat from the chaff. When we silence thought we keep it alive.
And? People need structure and security. Full fledged democracy isn’t something that can last without an educated population who know better than voting in the theocrats and dictators.
