Does the rest of Mexico have to recognize same-sex marriages from Mexico City?

Same-sex couples have started marrying in Mexico City. Do other Mexican states now have to recognize those marriages, or is it like the US where they can decline? What about the Mexican federal government? Does it recognize same-sex couples who marry in the Federal District?

Cite please?

Jesus, is a simple Google news search too much for some people?

No, but providing the information in the OP means that every single person reading the thread doesn’t need to run a Google search.

The linked article doesn’t provide a cite for the fact that such “marriages” are recognized outside of Mexico City, but the Mexican Supreme Court did in fact make the ruling that the several states would have to recognize these unions. Here’s a cite (and I’m only citing something called “OnTop” because it was the first Google hit!).
