Does the White House have locks on the doors?

The Master has commented on this:
Why is there braille on drive-up teller machines? (20-May-1994)

I thought this looked familiar.

Really? Well, when and where is there going to be an OC DopeFest? I won a key to the city of Orange on the Mark and Brian show a couple of years ago, and I could really use that space on my wall…

Well, first, doors just aren’t sold with locksets (or knobs) installed.

Now think about what you said. A manufacturer is going to buy a lock, go through the additional expense of installing it on the door, and then sell the door/lock combination for less than he would sell just the door? Hah!

The photo cckerberos links to shows clearly that the exterior door to the Oval Office has a lock on it. Alas, that tells us nothing about the main entrances to the White House.

I wonder if, during a “lockdown”, they actually lock all the exterior doors.

I’ll keep my eyes peeled in MPSIMS for the next OC dopefest, and hope to meet you there! I don’t want to take your valuable artifact away from you, but if you let me touch it I would be honoured.

Cool. I’m usually pretty lax about visiting MPSIMS, so if you notice something before I do, you have my email.

throws rotten tomato

:stuck_out_tongue:

 can’t ever be too careful about lettin’ some one touch your valuable artifact…

Wouldn’t there be a ceremony? You know, like, a changing of the guards.
