According to Queer Eye, it’s ok to mix patterns as long as they are in the same tonal family. What with the back-and-white nature of the drawing, I couldn’t say.

That (not) said, I can’t think of an instance in which a checkered tie is not a terrible, terrible mistake. :smiley:
