Does WE show different edits of Golden Girls than Lifetime did? I’ve started to notice stuff like scenes being a bit longer and sometimes an entirely new scene. I only have season 1 on DVD, but the effect is similiar. Has anyone else noticed this? Why would WE be showing less comercials than Lifetime?
Practically every television program is edited once it makes it into syndication so extra commercials can be added. The fans of The Simpsons are the most “on-the-ball” when it comes to this, but it’s done for every show.
Lifetime is a bigger network, with more advertisers willing to pay for time. That’d be my guess, anyway.
I’ve noticed that some MASH episodes contain scenes from other episodes.
