And after 79 replies, I think the push-poll has been answered to the contrary. Changing the title now won’t do anything.
But it would be the right thing to do. Besides, it would set a bad example to just let it slide.
I disagree with changing the title this far retrospectively. I dispute both of @Czarcasm’s points just above. IMO changing the title would be doing the wrong thing. And doing so would be a far worse example of history-rewriting.
Let it stand as a monument to the erroneous thinking of the OP. Tweaking the title at any time, but especially now, would simply make the title be an inaccurate summary of the OP’s clearly stated highly partisan position within the body of the first post. It’s the very definition of a modern push-poll.
A proper non-push poll should start with a neutrally worded title, neutrally worded choices, and a neutrally worded description of the question to be addressed.
Clearly anyone bothering to create such a poll has an opinion on the topic. And so should make a separate post to register their vote and explain their position. Ideally they’d wait until a few other people had registered their opinions before adding their own to the growing pile. Them instead taking pride of place and setting out their position in post #2 is merely a distinction without a difference versus them setting out their position in the OP itself.
The thread entire is a good example of a bad sort of thread. It is useful as a cautionary tale. Leave it be. IMO. YMMV. No warrantee expressed or implied.
