Dog poo vs. horse hockey

What’s the difference (psychologically speaking)?

As an experienced “manure relocation specialist” it’s no big deal to muck around horse stalls, shoveling the stuff into a wheelbarrow.

But there is something really nasty about stepping on a dog loaf–no matter how thick your rubber boots are.

What gives here?

(This is not an isolated opinion. I have discussed this at length with numerous other members of the Manure Relocation Specialists Union.)

Horse diet is mostly straw, low protien, low simple carbos, low fat. Dog poo is the opposite and much busier microbiologically, at least in terms of bugs that we think of as icky
