A couple of hours ago, I came back from West Palm Beach with my muse, a two and a half year old (spayed) female Portuguese Water Dog named Bailey – and her new brother, a rescue dog named Milky Way. Milky Way is also a PWD - a three and a half year pld (neutered) male. They both slept like babies in the back seat of my car on the three hour drive back to Orlando. They look like sister and brother – both have curly, mostly white coats with black spots and ticking, unusual coloring among an already rare breed.
Bailey and Milky have been following each other around the house, playing around and humping each other to establish dominance. (Bailey’s winning out.) If things don’t work out, I can always take Milky back to rescue, but I don’t see that happening. They’re both very sweet dogs, and I think they’ll have fun together.
