OK teaming millions here’s a question for you. Why do dogs chase their tails. Mine does anyway, every twice in a while, it’s humerous to me, but what is the dog thinking?
After doing a search on Google, I have found that the most prevalent theory is boredom or obsession - barring any problems with fleas or anal glands.
It seems that chasing their tails is seen as a behavioural problem that needs to be corrected.
Evidently this is a ‘compulsive’ disorder seen in a lot of English Bull Terriers. They will chase their tails, stopping only on exhaustion, sleep a few minutes and begin again. They have even been known to wear off their back pads by the spinning around that is taking place during the ‘tail chasing’ session. Now, there’s a fun dog to own. Yep.

Incidently, I just realized that I have never seen my dog chase his tail. I must be the perfect Dog Owner.
