After 9/11, the Justice Department dived into a project to interview several thousand people of Arab origin residing in the U.S., ostensibly to develop a knowledge base of the Arab community to aid in antiterrorism efforts. The GAO has just issued a report on the results; you can read it at:

Do you think the positives of this project outweighed the negatives? What about it was good/bad? How could better results have been obtained? (Of course, the DOJ isn’t sharing everything, which makes evaluation rather problematic, but as far as one can tell from the information that is public.)
