MSNBC is reporting that Pence has spent much of today testifying for the Smith investigation.
My first thought was, oh, to be a fly on that wall. Which then had me snickering.
I’ll bet smith was there in person for some of that time.

Pence was there from 9-4 today. That is a long day of questioning.
From what MSNBC is reporting, Smith might have had just this one shot at it, so it’s likely that they ran him through the wringer.

I can only imagine what would have happened if they had gotten hold of any member of Congress.
I had never seen that ridiculous prayer in the Senate chamber before. And the “we are in a war” guy was scary. I’m glad a lot of these guys are in prison now. I swear I’m not cut out to be a cop. I would have shot as many of these rioters coming through the windows as possible.

They seem a little like tourists. Like the Hells Angels at Altamont were tourists.
This video should have been played on the news every single night. Over an over again. Emphasis on the crowd chanting “fuck the blue” as they attacked and assaulted the police while wearing their Trump regalia.
I don’t think that’s a good idea. The problem is that seeing such a video over and over again inures people to the violence. It was thought this was a major reason why the Rodney King jurors did not find the defendants guilty. The prosecution played the video too many times.
There’s 40,000 hours of recordings. I’m sure you can find a novel act of violence or vandalism every night.
Sounds like Steve Bannon has received a new subpoena to appear before the grand jury hearing this case.

Former Trump White House official Steve Bannon has been subpoenaed by a federal grand jury in Washington, D.C., in connection with special counsel Jack Smith’s investigation into Jan. 6 and former President Donald Trump’s efforts to stay in office, according to two sources familiar with the matter.
The subpoena, for documents and testimony, was sent out in late May, the sources said.
Things do seem to be hotting up.
