DOJ/Jack Smith Investigation into Trump and Election Interference, January 6th Insurrection (Re-Indicted August 27, 2024)

I’m expecting a “Mais Non!” tweet from @TheSouthOfFrance

.

(Maybe he meant “specifically, south of France”, as in Antartica…)

More like, “Oh, putain non!” (Oh, hell no!!)

Trump ‘Truthed’ that if they come after him, he will come after them. I know it’s an empty threat, but isn’t a threat against a Federal Judge no matter how empty, sort of frowned on?

And in this case, he has a mob of lunatics that will do just about anything he wants.

I wonder how many of his red-blooded, America-loving followers he’ll lose because he said he’d rather live in that socialist hell hole France rather than the good ol’ U S of A. /s

That feels like a prelude to fleeing the country. Smith will likely have to respond to prevent it.

A fuller quote:

The district court also concluded the non-disclosure order was necessary because it “found reason to believe that the former President would ‘flee from prosecution,’” a footnote says.

“The government later acknowledged, however, that it had ‘errantly included flight from prosecution as a predicate’ in its application,” the footnote said. “The district court did not rely on risk of flight in its ultimate analysis.”

(Emphasis added)

He keeps it vague so that he can spin it later.

"Oh, by them, I meant those politicians who I will come at politically, by arguing against their policies. < wink >

The same number he lost for embracing Russia, you know, home of all the cold-war commies!

(fully appreciate the /s tag, just playing along)

I believe he said that at a Friday rally, and it was repeated online by others:

“I could have been relaxing at Mar-a-Lago or in the south of France, which I would prefer to being in this country frankly.”

He hates the USA. He’d rather be elsewhere. And people are planning on voting for this.

Doesn’t France have an extradition treaty with the US?

Also, does Trump own any property in southern France? Where would he live once he gets there?

It wouldn’t be a good choice but it does indicate that he’s starting to think in the direction of bailing out.

(Knowing Trump, it wouldn’t surprise me to find out that he’s friends with Roman Polanski.)

Magats. Always a decade or two behind the trends.

Holy cow. My sister served on a jury in a federal court in downtown L.A. last month, and the court validated their parking.

This actually makes me chuckle. What would that fat loud mouth that likes bad food do in the south of France? The idea of him playing tourist or enjoying history and good food is crazy.

I know he’s just dog whistling to his MAGAts about what a sophisticated person he is  I’m surprised he didn’t say “I’d rather be in Russia”

He could get a Royale with Cheese.

My guess is that he’s heard that all the cool billionaires go to the Riviera, and thought it would be classy for him to say he’d like to be there. France does have an extradition treaty with the U.S. If Trump does decide to get the hell outta Dodge, I think he’d opt for Saudi Arabia. He has ‘friends’ there, and I don’t think they have an extradition treaty with us.

Le Hamberder avec Fromage.

Apparently the closest thing he has to property on French soil is the Caribbean island of Saint Martin.

From a guy who only sleeps in NY, NJ or FL. I don’t think we can take “south of France” too seriously.

No pickles, xtra ketchup.

I think this is correct. Mostly the cool billionaires part. He desperately wants to be part of the group that laughs at him.

Suadi Arabia he would like considering how women get treated.

North Korea would just be funny. Actually, you could make a comedy out of any of these scenarios. Stupid Man in Strange Land

I doubt that Trump has any knowledge in his noggin. But, I think he may still have classified documents. Or copies of them.

Does MickeyD have any outposts in Marseille?

Dieu merci. We were about to go under because everyone here prefers bouillabaisse to le hamburger américain, then the Orange One moved in.”

For all that I willingly denigrate Trump’s intellect, I don’t think he’d flee unless it was part of an actual plan, most likely yet another ‘smart’ idea to delay things until his “friends” put him back in power or pardon him.

He hates the appearance of losing, and I don’t think even he would see leaving the country as anything else. And again, I believe that even he realizes he’d have no power or honest respect in the nations citied, at most being someone ELSE’S trophy wife President.
