DOJ/Jack Smith Investigation into Trump and Election Interference, January 6th Insurrection (Re-Indicted August 27, 2024)

This one … Idunno … rings vaguely familiar:

L’État, c’est moi indeed. Of course we all know how that turned out a couple generations later. Keep those tumbrel wheels greased and ready, boys.

“Used Furniture Dealer.”

The creaking of the tumbrel carts’ wheels on the way to the Guillotine during the French Revolution added ghostly character to the proceedings. We should carry on that tradition. Leave them ungreased.

While Trump’s January 2021 call to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and effort to put forward fake slates of electors have long been considered key pillars of Willis’ criminal probe, the voting system breach in Coffee County quietly emerged as an area of focus for investigators roughly one year ago. Since then, new evidence has slowly been uncovered about the role of Trump’s attorneys, the operatives they hired and how the breach, as well as others like it in other key states, factored into broader plans for overturning the election.

Together, the text messages and other court documents show how Trump lawyers and a group of hired operatives sought to access Coffee County’s voting systems in the days before January 6, 2021, as the former president’s allies continued a desperate hunt for any evidence of widespread fraud they could use to delay certification of Joe Biden’s electoral victory.

It took longer than I thought, Trump is “Truthing” about Chutkan but he’s attempting to be sly about it. Instead of posting something directly himself he’s re-posting what others are writing about her. Her quote about “the fact that he’s running a political campaign has to the orderly administration of justice” is proof that she’s deliberately interfering with the election.

There have been rumours that she’s bringing charges under Georgia’s RICO Act. This type of information likely supports that possibility.

“It is the ‘please don’t put me in jail, put that other guy in jail’ strategy that was sure to come up at some point or another,” says one attorney working in Trump’s legal orbit.

Giuliani 's blaming Sindey Powell, Kenneth Chesebro, ‘the attorney accused of being an architect of the Trump team’s bogus-electors scheme’, is downplaying his role, and Giuliani associate Bernie Kerik is pointing at Powell.

Gonna need a bigger bus.

Sounds like Chesebro might be planning on throwing The Donald before The Donald can get to him.

And Evel Knievel to drive it.

No, no, no!

You don’t want the bus to jump over them!

Not wishing harm on anyone, of course. Playful hyperbole!

Piker.

This reminda me of the end of The Italian Job (1969), and the song The Self-Preservation Society

Who took that picture and how did they set it up? Was that done deliberately?

It’s from a movie called The Big Bus

There were other pix that showed the bus better but I went for the one where it is teetering over a cliff – appropriate for Trump & Co. I felt.

That dark object projecting out the side is a pickup truck, to give a sense of scale.

And on the roof are the Flags of All Nations, which helped slow down the bus.

It’s a hilarious parody of 1970s star-studded disaster pictures. Worth looking for, if you can find it nowadays.

I agree that it is an appropriate photo for Trump & Co., under the circumstances. It seems to me that if even one of them moves a few feet from where they are now inside their bus, figuratively speaking of course, everything becomes unbalanced, and the whole mess falls over the cliff. Good selection of a photo to illustrate, @DesertDog .

Yeah, kind of pre-Airplane!

Who put the coyote on backwards?
