In the general area of Central Asian and Crimea, an old (if not ancient) civilization used to periodically burn their homes and build new ones. Nobody knows why with certainty.

I recall I read about it someplace, and I recall the word “domicide,” the killing of a house.

Now I cannot find any mention of it at all and fear I am losing my mind. Anyone want to prove I am (or am not) nuts?
