That was my thought, too. I wouldn’t be surprised at a sudden reconciliation “for the kids” after whatever’s coming goes down.
For the record, “ding ding ding” is usually used to signify someone has the right answer, not that some rando agrees with you.
I doubt this is the result of some specific series of revelations in the Mueller investigation. It’s probably just 12 years of being married inside a sleazy family and the weight of the publicity that they’ve taken on since being in the media constantly. Mueller’s investigation could be a factor indirectly, though - at least in terms of the stress that it has brought into their marriage and knowing that Donald Jr is potentially the subject of criminal investigations (plural).
As MoodIndigo1 suggested, I think the mother of 5 might have taken the white powder envelope incident pretty seriously.
As others have pointed out, when Trump has reacted gleefully to other people’s divorces, it does take some of the sympathy away from his own.

Even if GOP enablers succeed in protecting Donald Trump and his family from facing any consequences of their actions (that is, succeed in quashing the Mueller probe), life with Don Jr.-as-neo-Nazi-leader might not be to Vanessa’s liking. One factor could be that she apparently has some Jewish heritage in her background. It’s possible that Don Jr. feels he’d make a better companion to Richard Spencer et al if he had a ‘purer’ wife. (That’s just speculation; I don’t have a citation to offer on that topic.)
I strongly doubt that is the case with these people, they’re just greedy bastards who are gaming the system as much as possible to fill their own pockets, they are by no means ideological anti-Semites even if they’re willing to pander to bigots until their dying day. I see Jewish names all over the place in the rogue’s gallery of corruption that is the Trump inner circle - not to in any way imply that Jews are collectively corrupt - they’re just overrepresented in high places, as are Christian Scientists and certain denominations of Protestantism. Guess what else is overrepresented in high places? Corruption. It has nothing to do with the religion or the ethnicity, insomuch as a thing even exists, itself. Jews are also overrepresented among the ranks of the world’s best and most beneficial human beings.
