Donald Fagen -- "The Nightfly"

That’s where socks go, too.

:stuck_out_tongue: shouldda been “move”.

A little Fagen trivia: In one of the early bands he and Becker had, the Bad Rock Group, their drummer was Chevy Chase.

Just adding to the Nightfly love. With a shoutout for Pretzel Logic.

I remember in the early 80s that SD was looked down on by most folks.

More love to add.

And a bonus Steely Dan webcam:

Loved Nightfly. One of my all-time favorite albums. Loved Kamakiriad too. I’d hate to have to pick between 'em, but I’d probably give the edge to Nightfly, largely on the strength of I.G.Y. There really wasn’t a standout track on *Kamakiriad * to equal I.G.Y., plus I think there was a certain romance to the late night DJ theme and the various girls that just wasn’t there on Kamakiriad. Both were great though. Fagen is among my most favorite musicians of all time. He’s in the pantheon of a handful of greats where I would be hard pressed to declare one better than the other.

As an aside and to show what a fan I am of Fagen and that record, my very first screen name when I got online in the mid-90’s was “Nightfly”. “The Nightfly” was already taken. :stuck_out_tongue:
