I think it’s pretty clear that the “truth” is actually that native born white Americans couldn’t possibly be more criminal than dirty non white illegals, and therefore Harris is spouting anti-white lies, not facts.
Yes, I’ve been getting texts with that ad message. The gist, from what I can gather, is that $50 used to be a worthwhile sum to bet, but now because of the supposed Biden-Harris inflation, $50 has become chump change. Wouldn’t be great to return to a recent past in which $50 was once more a sum worth winning or losing? Make America Great Gamble Again! It’s a strange ad.
Sounds like someone at an ad agency trying to be too cute.
“You know what’s popular now?”
“Taylor Swift?”
“Yes but we can’t use that. How about…online gambling!”
“Brilliant!”
Trump says that if he loses it’ll be the Jews’ fault.
That sounds like a GENIUS move.
Attacking Haitians and now Jews. If he goes after Cubans we can take it as proof he’s doing all he can to lose Florida.
I have a major distaste for clicking anything on X.
Care to give a little more context?
“If I don’t win this election, the Jewish people would really have a lot to do with it if that happens, because at 40% that means 60% are voting for the enemy.”
His words.
So more of his line that he is great for Israel, that Harris is bad for Israel and hates Jews (is the enemy), and Jews who don’t support him are crazy?
His usual.
Every time it is a little different. If Harris wins:
While untrue, the presidential lie I prefer is:
I’m ok with taking that blame.
Meanwhile, Trump has repeatedly told Israel to “finish-up” the war. If he has told that to Hamas or Hezbollah, I’ve missed it. Only the Jews have agency.
This is typical of Trump’s disgusting style*.
But in a weird way…it’s also legitimate.
How is it different than saying of Harris “she may lose the election because of the Arab vote in Michigan.” Or “her support for Israel may gain her enough votes to flip X state, because of the Jewish community there”?
Now, we will probably agree that it IS different, because of the rude way Trump said it. And a politician being rude is stupid, (which of course is pure Trump.)
But the underlying issue is that, just as the Arab vote is critical in Michigan, the Jewish vote is important in other states.
And it’s okay to say so.
Just don’t say it the way Trump does.
–
*(by style, I mean: his confused style of speech, his disgusting style of barely-concealed racism, his general style of blaming everybody)
Harris doesn’t have a record of stirring up mass violence against, or threatening to jail, people who opt not to vote for her.
If the Jews are the reason Trump loses I’m totally good with that. The problem is that he makes it sound like a threat of antisemitic violence if he loses. He still seems to think that American Jews have no agenda except support for Israel and that he is somehow owed Jewish support for supporting Israel. This is an incredibly antisemitic position that not only reduces Jewish people to an untrue stereotype but fails to even show a modicum of interaction with or understanding of actual Jewish people. A normal candidate would ask why he has such low Jewish support and try to address concerns. But Trump just does what he personally thinks is best for Jewish people and expects them to bow to him.
So for any Trump staffer who may be listening: Jewish is not the same as Israeli. Not all Jews are zionists. Even Jews who support the idea of a Jewish state may not support the actions of the current Israeli government. If Israelis feel that Trump is so great for them than he can run for office in Israel. Most American Jews are Democrats because we believe in the principles and goals of the Democratic Party. Pandering to any group doesn’t work if you have no idea of the goals or priorities of the group and doing it in a patronizing way is even more insulting and not a good way to win votes.
He gave that speech at the Israeli-American Council, so he must have a decent amount of support.
It’s different because Harris doesn’t say this, and Trump does.
If Harris said, “If I don’t win this election, the Arab people would have a lot to do with that,” I’d come down hard on her. And if she had ALSO told a gang of White supremacists “Stand back and stand by,” I’d consider her a threat.
From that link:
“Chuck Schumer is a Palestinian,” Trump, flanked by American and Israeli flags, said of the Senate majority leader. “Who would have thought that was going to happen? What the hell happened to him?
“I saw him the other day, he was dressed in one of their robes,” Trump said as a joke, then went more serious and said, “Chuck Schumer is Hamas all the way.”
My bold.
What the ever-loving fuck??
Do you think DJT even knows what Hamas is? Never mind.
It’s something you dip pita bread in, right?
Schumer is concerned about Palestinian lives, so therefore he’s anti Semitic and on the same level as Hamas.
I think he believes that his favorite daughter being married to a Jewish man (and, in fairness to her, she did convert) should carry more weight with the Jewish community than Harris being married to a Jewish man.
