They were campaign announcements made without any media outlet questioning at all, in the case of Fiorina and Graham. It was a press release in Erickson’s case, again without any media questioning. All were made before Trump’s radio interview, not that anyone cares.
I did not literally see blood coming out of Megyn Kelly’s eyes (or whatever). I didn’t figuratively see it either. If Trump saw it, there’s something wrong with his perception.
Did you see it; did Megyn Kelly look angry to you?
Chris Wallace and Kelly both looked annoyed when questioning Trump. Were they? idk. Maybe they only had gas?
Was it a level of annoyance that you, or anyone else, could reasonably describe as “blood coming out of her eyes”?
That’s too bad. In a better world, all 100 would say “this guy’s whining because the moderator of a debate he entered into voluntarily asked questions he didn’t like. Such childish behaviour is typical of Republicans. They are not fit to run a garage sale.”
I think people are losing sight of what’s important here: Republicans behave like children and are not fit to run a garage sale.
As a figure of speech, it could be anything. Something said for effect. As an physical reaction, anything from glaring (unblinking stare) to bloodshot eyes (due to elevated blood pressure).
Does the term “whatever” always mean “menstruation” to you?
There are several Trump threads going, but I picked this one as it seems to connect to The Donald’s relationship to The Party. I guess I could have started a new one.
I am changing my assessment of Trump’s candidacy. If he stays in–and I’m the one who picked “out by Halloween” in the poll thread for when he’d quit–I think Trump will win every primary state and hold his own in the caucus states. And here’s why:Republican voters don’t want entitlement cuts. Republican elites do.
[QUOTE=Ezra Klein]
Trump is the only Republican running who actually agrees with the GOP base on [entitlements]. “They’re gonna cut Social Security. They’re gonna cut Medicare. They’re gonna cut Medicaid,” he said on Fox & Friends. “I’m the one saying that’s saying I’m not gonna do that!”
[/QUOTE]
I’m pro-immigration, or at least against being a dick to immigrants. So I’m not thrilled about this. But yeah, I now think Trump is the great populist hope of the GOP.
Your next GOP nominee for President of the USA, people.
I agree. Well, not so much the general bias toward word-twisting. But on Trump’s line, yeah, I agree.
From someone of Trump’s locker-room mentality, “her (pause) whatever” means “pussy”.
That’s why we have a language, and debates, and a whole political process, isn’t it? For that ability to string words together that could mean absolutely anything. Trump may have meant it as a compliment.
No.[sup]*[/sup] My point is that it doesn’t matter. Even if we take Trump at his word that he meant “nose”, he’s still an aggressive, self-victimizing blowhard. And factually wrong.
- A direct answer to a yes-or-no question, for those who have never seen such a thing in Great Debates before.
