I’m surprised no one has jumped you for the use of “retard” here. It is not fair to all the actual retards to compare their behavior with Trump’s, most retards are smarter than that.
Yeah, and an actual retard would be leading the WSJ Republican nominee poll, not running second.
How does a person get the birth records under his control? What would be the mechanism? I can not see how Obama was able to subvert the record keeping in Hawaii when he was running against Hillary. She had the money and political power .
Today ,the Trumpers claim that Obama 's grandmother said he was born in Kenya. She did not. She was being translated, apparently badly. The translator ,4 times ,said that it was wrong and tried to correct it. They were not listening.
What I don’t understand is why can’t I put an image of my driver’s license on factcheck.org and refer an officer stopping me in traffic to it ?
Posting a photo of my drivers license on the internet should be all I need to produce to the police.
What I don’t understand is why this is such a big deal to the left. If it’s a bullshit claim, then it’s a bullshit claim and should therefore be easily blowoffable. But no. Just the mention of Obama’s birth sends lefties into spasms of indignation, hatred and name-calling. If you are so truly convinced that Obama is in the clear on this, why is it such a big deal to you? Why the nonstop intolerant derision of “birthers” and the de riguer assumption that they’re wackos? All the hate, ire and indignation over this question frankly smacks of protesting too much. One would think the logical response would be to shrug your shoulders and say “Who cares? Let 'em think what they want.” But it isn’t, and so I’m left to wonder why this issue gets under the skin of lefties like it does?
There’s the fallacy in your argument. When 30% of voters are idiots who are easily swayed by fabricated propoaganda, and elections are determined by margins of 2-3%, lies do not go away if you ignore them, and they will hurt you if they are not stepped on quickly and forcefully. There is no logic to the “protest too much” argument. False assumption.
If that was the case it would be childishly simple to unseat a sitting president. Sorry, but I just don’t think that thirty percent of the electorate is going to vote against Obama simply because questions have been raised about where he was born.
Still, I suppose the fact that you think they will is sufficient enough explanation for why lefties overreact as they do on this issue.
Read my lips. Elections are determined by margins of 2-3%. If 30% are susceptible to lies, it is not inconceivable that 2-3% will be influenced by them, and that is the ball game.
I would think that if 30% are susceptible to lies, then 30% could be swayed by them. Otherwise, they’re not really all that susceptible, are they? Still, I suppose you’re right that 2-3% might be swayed by the issue. I just have a hard time imagining that a person is going to base their decision on whether Obama should be president on nothing but doubt as to where he was born.
Of that I have no doubt.
Swiftboaters. It started out much the same way: Kerry had what seemed to be an unimpeachable war record: even his opponents were careful to be respectful about his service. When the swiftboat crap came up, the response was exactly what you suggest: take the high road and ignore the crazies. And it just never went away until a meaningful amount of the electorate saw Kerry as some sort of lazy coward.
Or, going a little further back and a little more local: John McCain taking the high road on the “fathering a black child” rumor might well have cost him the 2000 nomination.
I don’t think anyone has found the right balance between dispelling crazy shit and not throwing in more red meat. But it’s a real dilemma in politics.
How many police officers do you deal with at a time?
If Obama had posted his COB in response to some official order or request you might have a point.
Does the International Order of Birthers even have a central office that he could have submitted a copy to?

It does not matter how many, the point is, that if my true valid drivers license is posted on the internet, then the police should have no right to ask me to show them my physical copy of it. The point is I ALWAYS!!! currently have to carry a physical copy of my drivers license with me at all times, regardless of how often, or how few times I get stopped. It is the exact same license. I really dont like carrying all these different id’s, and it is so unnecessary to carry physical copies. The banks dont even give you paper bank books anymore, it is all electronic, and so is most of our paychecks, direct deposit, and bill paying.
Bottom Line: I think everyone can agree that if all the police in America were ordered to accept internet postings of drivers licenses, cert of ins, car registrations, etc then this whole “birther thing” would go away.
.
He has let journalists examine it. Do you want him to walk to your house and hand it to you?
Do you think everyone is trying to trick you?
Are you really of the opinion that Obama should physically hand the document to people when they go off their nut? He has already presented his document to the press. The officials in Hawaii have verified that it is genuine. Other than the fact that you really, really hate Obama and are probably stupid enough to think that if you can prove him not an American his acts as president are undone (they wouldn’t be, by the way) why are you still questioning it?
Do you know that Obama hasn’t spent millions hiding his birth certificate? That’s just a lie that angry people, like you, have spread.
So do you really think what you wrote there is coherent?

What the heck are you talking about?
Are you saying that a photo of my drivers license posted on the internet is not good enough for the police to use instead of a real copy of my driver license?
Why are** YOU! **saying that a photo on the internet is not good enough?
Even this would not be enough for the lunatic birthers. They would claim that he was not really Obama, he was one of the lizard people dressed up in an Obama-suit.
They cannot be convinced. They WILL NOT be convinced. One cannot convince a mentally ill conspiracy theorist about anything.
There are no spasms of anger and hatred. It is more like pitty patting a puppy on the head that does not housebreak easily . We feel sorry that no amount of information will penetrate your right wing containment dome. We feel for you like a child who has trouble learning. No anger. We understand knowledge is hard for some to digest. We just keep providing you with the information proving your wrong and perhaps someday you will be able to grasp it.
Because they do not know whether to be more angry that decent people are being manipulated and that people allow themselves to be manipulated.
Every time someone has implied that your fondness for the 50s is related to colored folks back then knowing their proper place, you’ve refuted the characterization. Since it’s a bullshit claim, why don’t you just blow it off? Or are you in fact “protesting too much” because the idea hits too close to home?
