Donating plasma for money

I know this is available, but I can’t for the life of me find a place in MD where you can donate and the red cross is of no help. Can anyone help me find this info

Try running a search under Community Bio-Resources or Aventis Bio Services. They’re two of the bigger donation centers in the country, and surely their websites will have a location finder.

Bumping an old thread rather than starting a new one:

Some plasma services here in Texas apparently pay around $3,000 per year for plasma donations. Any pros and cons of this? I’m healthy, 35 years old, 145 pounds, but my main concern is that the repeated puncturing of the same vein in the arm over and over again will eventually cause some sort of long-term problem.

this thread is old enough now to donate plasma on its own

I think they take care of finding the right vein on their own.

From what I’ve heard, generally, your blood pressure has to be spot on perfect. Like a cyborg.

And it takes forever.

But the plasma is desperately needed, and one is well compensated, sort of. Probably think an all-day affair, especially including travel time.

$3k sounds like a lot. 13 times a year, that would be $230 per donation, again which sounds a lot.

We have CSL Plasma centers in Indianapolis. I just looked up their pay charts:

Donating twice a week every week is over $5000/year for someone over 200 lbs.
