Don't call those spam numbers!!! You'll be charged!!!

I usually am. I tend to sleep in the day and be up at night. It’s just that, last night wasn’t one of those nights.

ETA: Prime example will be today/tonight. It’s 1pm and I just woke up fifteen minutes ago, which means I’ll probably be going to bed around 2 or 3am.

I just called and gave them a real earful. Chewed them out for a full hour. They listened to everything I had to say, and asked me to call back tonight. Apparently their company president wants to apologize and have a long discussion about my ideas for improving their service. Even offered to wire me a stipend as compensation for my time.

See? We’re sometimes to quick to assume the worst, but all you have to do is be firm and use your people skills. They’ll listen to reason, just like any other legitimate business.

So I guess a Tommy Tutone appreciate thread is out? :frowning:

Heh. That song caused some folks a huge amount of pain when it came out. Since the song didn’t include the area code there were matching numbers in different area codes all over the country. Most of those folks had to have their numbers changed.

Most of those numbers were later bought by businesses and radio stations.

So don’t put phone numbers in song titles either unless you want to piss a bunch of people off. :stuck_out_tongue:

The numbers in the spam posts(Google still has a cache) are just bog standard Indian mobile numbers, from the state of Rajasthan. I would call it just for shits and giggles, but then they’d have my number and I already get way too much spam on my phone. Basically, you could have called those numbers without any additional charges. If any of you are still feeling like getting back at them some, calling from outside India through the internet using skype or some such defeats caller id.

Just on the off chance you were right, I suggest a cruise missile to that location.
