What_Exit? did not suggest that the term “civil disobedience” was the key problem–he merely suggested that I try it again in IMHO. I don’t have a strong objection to rewording the title and OP, though right now the Mods are supposedly discussing how to deal with threads mentioning civil disobedience, and I have opened my own thread in ATMB to talk about it amongst ourselves, pending their decision.
A thread like that should probably include a discussion about what is currently legal to do and what is not. As long as everyone stays on the legal side of things, that discussion would be allowed.
We are currently having a discussion with one user about posting something along these general lines and are going back and forth a bit to make sure that their OP will adhere to our current rules.
I think we are moving past the original topic of this thread.
@Roger_That you have your other thread about civil disobedience if you need to discuss further what is or is not acceptable here.
As for abortion and other issues and how that relates to what you can and cannot post, we are currently discussing some clarification of the rule against calls to action. Please be patient, sometimes these discussions take time in the mod loop. Let’s hold off on discussions of issues like this until after we post these clarifications.
