Our dog Bailey has an annoying habit of licking the bare feet of those in the house. It is usually just a quick flick of the tongue, probably more out of affection than anything. This afternoon she licked my wife’s feet on a couple of occasions in a 5 minute span. So I wrestled Bailey down and licked one of her feet. Yuk, ptooey, aaaahh. It tasted like everything she has stepped in the past few days. So if you ever have an occasion to lick your dog’s feet, please don’t.

Now seriously, why would you do this? Were you hoping to inspire a negative reaction in the dog, in order to teach her not to lick feet? Or were you just doing happy goofy doggie kinda stuff?
If it makes you feel any better, my brother was playing with the dog one time and kind of wrestling with it in a friendly manner as he had done a number of times before. It had never been an issue, he and the dog just kind of bonded this way until it happened. During the course of one of these bonding moments, the dog was spinning around and lost his footing, fell down, and sat directly on my brother’s mouth. Yes, his mouth has touched a dog’s anus. I have never heard a scream so loud come from him before and he spent about an hour washing his mouth and brushing his teeth after that. So for this reason I can say there are probably worse things than licking your dog’s feet, though why you would do that voluntarily I will never know. 
I once tried to get a cat to stop play biting me by biting the cat’s ear (not hard!), then I realized what I had done and spluttered and spat and had to go rinse my mouth out several times. Hair and cat ear wax, don’t ya know.
Wow, it’s lucky I came upon this thread. I was just about to indulge in an manic bout of dog-paw licking. I guess I’ll do something else instead. Maybe read a book.
Didn’t someone on this board deliberately perform analingus on a dog once?

I could have sworn, though, that he later admitted that it was untrue and that he was simply trying to “win” in that thread. But search as I might, I cannot find where he said that, so I may be wrong.
