Well, I, again have had a ton of fun, and you made my weekend fly. I thank everyone who participated, and all that had to bite their lip as they watched me make a damn fool of myself.
I’m going to call the game this time, and let others try to make an ass of someone else!
I announce the winner to be…
Liberal. Really fun questions, and you somehow narrowed in on my limited knowledge, without really taking advantage of much of my stronger topics, while avoiding the more expected ones. To you I award, the SDMB Trout of Awesomeness.™
Go forth and start slapping.
NOW
To the loser goes the real spoils. Should you show yourself brave enough, you must start your own DON’T STUMP ME thread. Name it whatever you want, but it’s gotta start with DON’T STUMP, and the same rules apply. If you cannot summon the courage or time, you may forfeit this honor to one of the other participants of this thread… godspeed OtakuLoki!
Au revoir!
I’d like to thank the academy and all the little people I stepped on in my journey to the top. Once again, great thread. It actually made MPSIMS seem Straight-Dopish.
Match the host with the Sunday talking head show. In no particular order:
Tim Russert
Chris Wallace
George Stephanopoulos
Bob Schieffer
Wolf Blitzer
Face The Nation
This Week
Meet The Press
Late Edition
Fox News Sunday

Well, since you put in the work, I can’t just leave this hanging. Whatever the outcome, I still hold to the judging above.
Tim Russert = Meet The Press
Chris Wallace = Fox News Sunday
George Stephanopoulos = Face The Nation
Bob Schieffer = This Week
Wolf Blitzer = Late Edition

Well, umm. Shucks. I was hoping to pull out of this hole. Even so, it was a lot of fun.
I’ll have to start my thread tonight. When I post the OP I’ll link it here.

I think I ended in the red with -12.
In my last q you got everything right but the first question; Saute means “to jump”.

Damn. I must’ve missed your score! Still, I felt OtakuLoki deserved it because of the raw tenacity he showed during the game. But this is perfect, perhaps you can start a thread called DON’T STUMP the GIRL with average knowledge… although I have the feeling you’re of above-average knowledge. But hey, I’m still the judge of these here contestants, and it’d be fun to get two going.

I could be above average in some subjects but I am below average in many others and I have a very bad memory so may even forget stuff I do know … did know. I had to work today so I couldn’t check in and post my score earlier. I have to work early tomorrow, too, so I won’t be on much longer. If people want another thread and the moderators don’t mind I could start one tomorrow.

Well, you never know around these parts, don’t we have a few dozen Jeopardy! alumni lurking about the place?
I hope you do start one, two is always better than one… I will say, starting a thread like this, requires some more-than-usual board-time, that’s why I had to close mine up already, I’m going to have a busy next couple-a days.
Sorry I didn’t get back to this thread until today. I see you’ve declared a close to the current round of attempting to NOT stump you, but I’ll tie up some loose ends by giving the answers.

Damn! Cannot remember.
Ugh. I seem to remember him picking on GM, but I cannot, for the life of me, remember the model if that’s right. As for make, I’ll go with Chevy.
Sweden?
Ooof, prognosis looks bad on this one.

The “Tin Lizzie” was the Ford Model T. I lose one point.
Chevrolet is correct – the model Nader castigated was the Corvair. I’ll call this a wash.
The Holden is a GM car manufactured for the Australian market. Obviously this would have been a zero-pointer for someone who comes from a land “Down Under”, but it costs me three points here.
So I end up 4 points in the hole. Now I’m off to check out the thread OtakuLoki has started…
