Massive $237.75 million donation to Florida A&M is worthless. Some details unclear, but the school had time to check out this donation in the form of shares of a business that may not be worth anything. Only after the donation was publicly announced did some school admins and board members check it out.

I just saw the story. Heartbreaking. In some ways, it reminded me of Trump’s NY civil fraud trial – the large institution appears to have thoroughly screwed the pooch, but – unless legally incompetent – this 30y/o ‘donor’ totally defrauded them.
You get the feeling, though, that nobody at the University … DAGS (Did A Google Search).
But as a former corporate guy, the reputational damage to FAMU will cost them incalculable dollars going forward. If I’m a wealthy donor, I can find a better recipient than the Keystone College.
Why would the university be skeptical about a stock donation from a hydroponic hemp farm being worth $238 million?
I mean, the hydroponic hemp industry must be worth trillions of dollars.
I just want to jump in and say I read the title and interpreted it as such:
Someone has given a check to a stoner and someone is trying to take away said check.
For that matter, don’t take Chex from stoners, if they’ve seriously got the munchies.
When I buy my weed at the dispensary they will not accept my check. Not because I’m a stoner, but because a check is a worthless piece of paper. You’d think a university president would know that!?
Hey man, I want to get my Kix!
