Which fucking cave system did she come out from? I did not know in 2001 that there were people who STILL thought like this! She can have my right to vote if she can prise it from my cold, dead hands!
And *** I do not *** think i would make a good stay at home mom, i would get such a bad case of cabin fever.
Exactly. I just… good God. I can’t get my head around it, either. **

It’s a bit like people getting government jobs with the goal of eliminating big government: A woman got a job in politics and is using her position to decry women in politics.
She’s from Kansas. Wasn’t this the state that tried to ban the teaching of evolution in public schools a while back?
Now, now. Let’s not blame it all on Kansas. I’m sure you can find completely fucked up conservative idiots in high profile government jobs in other states as well.
Man, what a nutcase.
And her punishment would be society’s benefit. What the fuck ever got her so high up in the first place?
No, no , no!!! You missed a most-important point:
See, the reason she votes and keeps her job is because men like myself, beagledave, and Coldfire are lazy do-nothing scumbags. We obviously haven’t been doing our jobs, otherwise women like this wacko, and my wife, and you other ladies wouldn’t have to vote and run for public office. You could stay home and bake cookies and squeeze out pups like you really want to.
And let’s face it, that’s all you girls want to do, right? I mean, you don’t really want to vote, or have jobs, or any of that MANLY stuff, right?
My favorite is this bit:
“said she was forced into the workplace because of her ailing daughter’s medical bills.”
Umm . . . maybe she just could have gotten a job at the mall making pretzels or something. I mean, is the Senate really considered an average, run-of-the-mill “workplace”? Did she just fill out an application for the House along with the Gap? Did she pout when they made her the vice chairwoman of the Senate Elections and Local Government Committee. Before every meeting does she say “All right, but I’m only doing this for the antibiotics.”
Bitch.
Wasn’t there another time in our history where one adult group in society took care of another adult group in society that couldn’t vote or work for pay because it was thought those adults were unable to function at an adult level and needed to be taken care of like adults take care of children?
Oh, yes. It was called slavery!
My experience with these people in a social setting (if I were only a Republican, I’d be SO MADE!) is that the stunningly stupid things are only surprising because they are quoted in the paper so rarely. They are ALWAYS spewing from their mouths like permanent cases of projectile vomiting. “Stunningly stupid” is more the rule than the exception. Jeeze, you folks always seem surprised when a senator or president says something stupid–hell, they are the SMART ones! The density of local and state amateur politicians nears that of a black hole.
This is worse than hypocracy. It’s idiocy. Is she Rush Limbaugh’s mom or something?
Who would vote for such an imbecile?
-L
I saw this story in my local paper a few days ago, but I didn’t think I could raise a respectable rant.
Amazing, isn’t it?
Next thing you know, women will think they desreve orgasms or somethin…
I’ll bet she doesn’t do much-she probably just runs around the senate building, making coffee and sandwhichs for the important male senators.
Just imagine if she were black and an alcoholic. She’d say she wouldn’t have to vote if those lousy white men had kept a better eye on their property, then she’d long for the good ol’ days of prohibition.
She’s not conservative. I’m conservative. She’s reactionary. In fact, she’s gone so far 'round the bend that she’s met the extreme radical left, and become both reactionary and radical at the same time! Simply put, we have a bewildered woman whom is really pissed that she’s bewildered, and is striking out with random rhetoric.
Here’s hoping she gets her wish and is sent home…
I take issue with the label of “hypocrite” some of you have applied to this woman. She’s a kook, sure, but as Beelzebubba ably showed, her idiocy is at least self-consistent.
Doesn’t she understand that American women were “sufferin’…until suff’rage?”
