Door Dashers - ever take a working vacation?

I’ve been delivering for 5 months, about 15-20 hours a week and working at 7-11 a couple of days. I’ve left 7-11 and now drive 25 or so hours a week, and I was thinking about taking a road trip from southwest VA down to Nashville and Memphis, visit some historical music sites. If I drove for 4 hours or so a day once I got there that could pay for my hotel if I stay at a Motel 6 or something similar. Oh BTW I also drive Lyft.

Only complication for me is that I have a cat, and if I were to board him that would be expensive, and I don’t really want to do that anyway. He has been in a carrier before, when I moved from Jersey, 9 hours. He didn’t like it but wasn’t really freaked out. He now sleeps in his carrier every day, and I thought maybe I could carry him out to my car and just sit there for a while, then drive around the block a few times, gradually increasing the time and distance. You can easily train a dog to look forward to a drive, not sure about cats.

I don’t do Door Dash, but I know someone who used to, and one weekend, she and her then-boyfriend went to an adjoining state, in part for a getaway but also because his brother had some extra work they could do - and oh, BTW, hey, Door Dash operates here, so why don’t we do it for a couple hours? It earned enough money to pay for their dinner that night, at least.
