Dopers' opinions of Pulp Fiction (1994)?

And of course, Pulp Fiction is the source of certain lines I’m looking forward to saying if I ever personally encounter Brett Kavanaugh or Lindsey Graham, even if there’s no way I can possibly say them in quite the way Samuel L. Jackson did.

As opposed to his romantic comedies?

Just found out that the character of Jules was written with Laurence Fishburne in mind. He turned it down, so the part was offered it to Samuel L.

Man, I don’t even have an opinion.

" You like Oak, Jimmy? I’m an Oak man, myself. "

It was exactly the right screenplay for its day. Detached irony, over-the-top violence, funny stories, quirky moments, throwaway lines. Stylishly shot.

I watch it once a year or so.

‘Oak is nice.’

I use that line every chance I get.

It’s also worth noting, IMHO, that Butch’s betrayal of Marcellus is just about money. Money Marcellus (mostly) stole from people who are (mostly) lowlifes. It’s inconvenient for Marcellus, but abandoning him to the rednecks is an order of magnitude different.
