Dopers who went to college without money from parents

G.I. Bill and student loans.

Welcome to college!

CUNY. Pell and TAP grants. Worked full time. An aunt who bought all my books every year.

I lived at home and CUNY was cheap comparitively.

Keep with it, LiquidCougar, I’ve seen people that no one thought could do it in college get into great grad programs. About the FAFSA stuff, there is hope. Once you are over, I believe it’s 23, but not sure as I’ll be well out of school by then, your parental income doesn’t count and it’s only your income, so grants may come easier in the future.
