Dorothy Parker's project with 20th Century Fox?

I found this letter written by Dorothy Parker that mentions a script that was handled (or rather, according to her, mangled beyond all recognition) by 20th Century Fox that apparently had Marilyn Monroe attached to it at some time.

Google has failed me in answering my question: what sort of script was this? What was it about?

The Good Soup. It was an adaptation of a French play. Marion Meade in What Fresh Hell Is This does not give any more information except that it was not a good play.
