Dorthy Lynch, I love you so! (or, my ingredient to World Domination)

This salad dressing was developed in a small town close to where I grew up: history

When I moved to Kansas I was surprised to find that the product was not carried at the local grocery stores but fortunately I traveled back ‘home’ enough to stock up on a couple of bottles. Whenever I brought Taco salad to a summer potluck at work, it was my secret ingredient. I started to bring the bottle because people were asking for a little more dressing - my Taco salad was always a hit. I managed to convert many from Ranch dressing over to Lynch. Pretty soon, the local store started to carry the product (assuming more people started to ask for it).

When I moved to Texas, I was surprised to find the product was carried, but many of my co-workers had never heard of the stuff. I brought in my Taco salad, and again it was a hit with the co-workers. I also made home-made Runza’s using Lynch as a sauce for the meat mix.

SO & family had never heard of Lynch (now in SW Ark/NE TX). I brought in a bottle to use on regular salad since I prefer it to Ranch. Next thing I know, my bottle is empty.
Looks like another family has been converted.

Maybe I should start my own commune and seduce others with Dorothy’s sweet and spicey goodness… yes, I do believe I have discovered my key to World Domination! bwahhaha!

ps you can also make this goodness yourself, I just have better things to do (like kill things on WoW, or design SIMS homes)

My secret recipe for sloppy joes/barbecues (on a bun - you know):
brown 1 pound ground beef with onions
on top of the beef:
pour out a four inch stripe of Dorothy Lynch
pour out a four inch stripe of ketchup
pour out a four inch stripe of bottled barbecue sauce
stir and serve on a bun

I f you like this Dorothy Lynch stuff, then you might like celery seed dressing. It’s kind of a specialty around here in the midwest.

From what I’ve seen by way of recipes, it sounds like Dorothy’s dressing is just celery seed dressing with condensed tomato soup added…

Yay! Dorothy Lynch! Nothing says Nebraska summer like Dorothy Lynch on ice-cold iceberg lettuce.

I always forget about Dorothy Lynch, but then when I have it I luuuuuuv it.
