I guess they just can’t admit they made a mistake filing a lawsuit against that 65-year-old grandmother who knew nothing about downloading or uploading songs.
I’m glad they dismissed it instead of making her life hell.
It’s sweet that her suit got dismissed, but just because she’s a grandmother doesn’t mean she didn’t know what she was doing. How do we know she wasn’t just as guilty as the other people sued? Because she said so?
I am thinking that this a publicity stunt to avoid even more negative press (if that’s possible). After seeing their lawsuit against the 7 year old blow up in their faces, I wouldn’t be surprised if this lawsuit was dropped to avoid a repeat fiasco on the other end of the spectrum.
If owning a Macintosh was a legitimate excuse, wouldn’t people being currently sued, simply go buy a Macintosh? A $800 investment sure sounds like a good deal compared to the possibilities of losing thousands in the lawsuit.
