Not all music downloading is illegal. He didn’t ask for illegal music exchanges. That is a wicked pet peeve of mine since someone else jumped in and accused me of illegal file swapping when I was referring to my husband’s music, which is on a legal fileshare system/streaming audio site. He/she asked for SITES, not file swapping software. They are two different things.
http://www.soundclick.com is a site with LOADS of unsigned artists and many signed ones, as well, that offers music for download or streaming listening. Free and legal.
http://www.mp3.com offers music for free download and by subscription.
http://www.iuma.com is another independent artist site that has loads of music for legal download.
