I guess all the frustration and helplessness one experiences in life as a homeless person builds up and needs to be vented, what better place than by being somewhat annonymous on a message board. Dammit! I saw this thread last night, but didn’t read it until this morning. Had I read it last night, I’d’ve been the first to point out that DF98 is a kitten – I saw it at once, I did. Phooey.

Since this has been resurrected after such a long time (isn’t there a time limit on how long you can do that?), and since Dragonflyu98 is obviously insane, can I (as the OP) officially request that this thread be closed?
I so often find these sort of threads tiresome. Arguing with someone so clearly irrational as Dragonfly is ultimatly an exercise in frustration, because you can’t win. No matter how totally you devastate his arguments, no matter how clearly you illuminate his hypocrisy, idiocy, and petty-mindedness, he’ll never admit that he was wrong. He’ll just merrily crank away at his lies and delusions, seemingly immune to logic or public disopprobrium.
And then he goes and blows the entire edifice. It’s been four months since autz started this thread. Did anyone else remember that it was here? Anyone? Even you, autz? I doubt it. Dragonfly had long since receded into the background noise of nuts and cranks who show up on the boards on a more or less daily basis. But clearly this thread has been eating at Dragonfly. He hasn’t been able to let it go. He’s been lying awake at nights in his van, cowering under tofu-encrusted blankets, thinking, “I’ll show them! Filthy little meat-eaters, as soon as I can get back into that public library! Bastard rational omnivores!”
This is a wonderful revelation! We may have thought we were bashing our heads against a brick wall, but rather than brick, it was more like the soft, unformed skull of a newborn infant. Dragonfly’s posts may have annoyed for the brief span of time that we had to read them, but our posts have gnawed at his mind like maggots in the roadside carcass of a Buick-slaughtered raccoon. This insight leaves me with renewed sense of hope and import. Thank you, Dragonfly, for your simple-minded blathering and improbable grudge-bearing have given me a new lease on life.

Why exactly does dragonfly98 keep bumping this thread?
My theory is that he despirately wants attention.
And he wants to be able to say things like call folks “drooling simpleton” and “decidedly illiterate and conspicuously chickenshit macho-morons.” The only place you can get away with that is the Pit. So he’s afraid to start his OWN Pit thread (what would he do, pit himself?) so he HAS to keep bumping this one.
I’ve asked that this be closed, and even e-mailed the mods about it, but no one does anything.
I’ll try again.
