C’mon, you know you’d give ‘em the vote. Intellect is all well and good, but nobody ever messes much with the really crazy leaders. Besides, the worldwide cataclysm in 2012 would make a lot more sense.

Apparently so; DST is mostly for the benefit of urbanites and people of leisure, and the people who make money from them. Farmers derive no particular benefit from DST, and most hate it, as it screws up their coordination between farm work and the rest of the world.
