Sometimes, the new (state/commonwealth) laws don’t supersede the older (Newtonian) ones.
I also like the folks who don’t realize that a light that looks bright at arms length in the store isn’t so bright on the street from the distance a car needs to see you in order to be able to react, especially when it’s not angled towards traffic.
