Drinkin' and dancin' all night long...

Almost three years after I lost it in a break-in, I finally got “Spider” John Koerner’s Running Jumping Standing Still again as a birthday present. I first read about it in one of Spider Robinson’s Callahan books and picked it up shortly thereafter; I’d never really encountered folk rock before and though I wasn’t too keen on it the first time I listened to it, the damn thing grew on me. It’s one of my favorite albums now.

So, anyone else ever heard this little gem? Or any of Spider John’s other works? What do you think of 'em? And what other albums of this type would you recommend?

Nobody’s heard of this album? Wow.

Don’t know it. I’m really sorry.

I have an old Dave Mason & Cass Elliott LP that noone’s ever heard of. To this day it might be my absolute favorite album, certainly for folk rock.

It’s got ditties like Sit and Wonder, Walk to the Point of Love and others that are incredible gems.

I wish at some point they’d re-release it but I don’t hold out much hope.

::: speculates whether he could lean on Olentzero’s known collectivist theories to explain to him how “from each according to his possessions, to each according to his needs” applies here.

If your first copy gets stolen in a B&E, you’re exempt from further application of Marxist theory.

It is readily available on Amazon, however. Yeah yeah, it’s a CD, I know, but hey, 's better than nothing, no?
