Driving in France

I didn’t drive over it, but rather drove under it last year. It’s very impressive.

The French seem to specialize in wonderful looking bridges . Here is one I have driven across a few times le Pont de Normadie which spans the mouth of the Seine.

Couldn’t even get the road crew onto the thing, huh?

Great pictures!

A note about filling up in France from the motoring supplement of the Sunday Times. There are many new staff-less petrol stations in France that require credit cards for payment. UK cards don’t always work, perhaps a US card might have similar problems?

They have a long tradition of long spans. Perhaps the most impressive of all is 2000 years old. You can’t drive across it, but it’s well worth a visit.
