DRM for coffee? Keurig 2.0

Your idea of a good alternative is a company that locks you into a subscription model? At least with Keurig, you can buy the cups at many places.

His first four posts last year were pretty content-free. I’ve reported this (not Dewey Finn)as possible spam. (Braddock)

I agree that Braddock’s post is spam and reported it as such.

The company he linked to has been around since 1999. That’s mainly why I gave it a bit of doubt. A very little bit.

Unsolicited marketing for existing legitimate commercial interests is still spam. Just not the kind you are famous for stamping out.

But Bradford has had 5 posts ATM, all coffee-related, but only one with a link to a product or service. I’d characterize that more as coffee enthusiast after too much caffeine.

The student is attempting to teach the Master.

The rest of your post is why I left some room for not-spam.

As long as they’re Keurig-licensed, in the new model.

actually there’s not many new cups being made that’s not 2.0 compatible these days

even the knockoffs like grove square who doesn’t even make straight coffee they make instant flavored stuff like cappuccino …and it clogs up the thing more too

heck the single cups o swill you get for 25 cents apiece at dollar tree are 2.0 now

only place ive seen non 2.0 cups still being sold is on amazon where the places sell those themed reboxed multi cup packs ie “world of cocoa 30 cup sampler”

But id beware these days as I was told (via amazom comment sections) that these days that some of those might be years old cups …

Now what I wanna know what happened to their soda maker that never seemed to actually come out …

Oh yeah, guys. I’m sure Braddock is just here to spam. Just look how masterful his plan is. Sign up over a year ago, make a few non spam posts in July, then when you least suspect it, BAM, he zombies a thread to [del]recommend[/del] spam an alternative to a product being complained about. Dastardly. Mobilize the jack boots!

You guys are hearing hoofbeats and thinking zebras instead of horses… If spam were as innocuous as this guy’s post, the world would be a better place.

Guy just likes his coffee.

I swore off Keurig brand when they went to the DRM business model and my old one died. Just the kind of monopoly market thing that just grinds all my gears the wrong way.

So while we’re [del]spamming[/del] endorsing alternate products, let me present the Cuisinart SS-10. This is actually a newer model than the one I purchased, but I love the SS-700 that I got and will probably get this one if my current one every decides to retire.

There are spammers that sign up and wait weeks or even months to spam.
Some forums disallow links in a new member’s first few posts, 5 or 10 is the most common limit. This was his 5th post.

In Braddock’s favor, he has a normal username, he used standard English and his first posts did establish a favorite topic.
That’s why I reported it as possible spam.
