If he was worried about his time, ignoring the email would have taken much less of his time than composing that answer, wouldn’t it? Besides, if he’d just never responded, I would have understood him not wanting to be bothered. It was the WAY he responded that pissed me off.

So if some bozo sends me unsolicited spam, s/he could sue me for reproducing it. I’m glad whatsisname says “somebody who sues over an ordinary message would almost surely get no damages”. The law is an ass.
Besides, jjimm, as much as I appreciate the support I really wish you hadn’t sent that email. I’d already sent the jackass a reply telling him I’d pray for the higher power to grant him a greater spirit of Christian charity and faith in his fellow man. Sometimes the best thing you can do is take the high road, and I really do feel sorry for the man if he lives with such a closed mind. He misses out on a lot of the beauty and wisdom to be found in life, and that’s just kind of sad.
Thanks for the thought, though, and good for you for standing up for what you think is right, instead of sitting around bitching about it.

Oh, I know that perfectly well. DrJ is also ReverendJ through the same outfit. That’s where I was planning to have our friend ordained in the first place.
