Drunk drivers should burn in hell

I know its illegal to use a cellphone without a hands free device around here while driving. That being said, I still see people on the phone while driving.

The old people driving thing is a whole 'nother thread. Unless you’re talking about boozed up old people.

Every teenager has broken curfew - that doesn’t make them “bad”. Seriously, why do so many “adults” forget what it was like to be that age, and get so judgmental at a certain point? Teens do stupid shit, to be sure, but 9 times out of 10 it’s harmless, just like when we were that age. QUOTE]

Every adult who drinks has driven home after having a couple beers with friends at a restarant or bar - that doesn’t make them “bad”.

And seriously, just a couple of beers can send most people over the legal limit. I seriously doubt anyone that says they drink but have never drove drunk to say they comply.

There’s no laws against teens wearing skimpy clothing. There is a curfew and limitations on teens driving though, which frankly, is legislation that should have been enacted many years ago.

Teenagers can often be stupid and impulsive, which are not desirable traits when operating a motor vehicle. Not that adults can’t act just as petulant.

Only if the bubble wrap were hermetically sealed. Modern air can contain toxins dontcha know!

I’m trying to read this thread, and I’ve been trying to bite my tongue, but I’ve had enough.

THE KIDS WERE DRINKING OR DOING DRUGS, I ASSURE YOU

How are you equating breaking curfew with drinking and driving? Murder’s a crime, too - why not use that as a comparison, if we’re being disingenuous?

There is nothing about staying out past curfew that puts anyone in danger (except, arguably, the person breaking curfew). Drinking and driving, by definition, makes you a danger not only to yourself but to others. Where’s the equivalence? Has this thread made everybody retarded?

Glad we got that cleared up. Thanks for the unimpeachable cite.

So, in effect, you’re saying: some teenagers can be stupid, which is not the best state of mind when you’re driving. You go on to say some adults can be stupid as well. So why not just make an IQ/maturity test a requirement if you want to stay out past curfew? Make about as much fucking sense, IMO.

Fuck you. If I push someone in front of a train, it’s still assault even if they manage to get away in time.

My big font is my cite!

And the parade of fucking morons continues.

Apparently, it seems to. All teenagers who drive with too many people in the car and/or drive after curfew are also drunk and/or stoned. Good to know. (I was a teenager three years ago. Know how many times I drove or let a friend drive with too many underage passengers and/or after curfew? A couple. Know how many times I drove drunk or rode with a drunk driver? Never.)

And for those asking about the mugshot, it’s from one of his prior convictions. I don’t know if it’s the prior DWI or after he was arrested for possession of marijuana. It’s not from the time in 1998 when he

. [From another article in the local paper about it, found here.]

Hey-the post I was responding to was trying to equate curfew laws with a girl getting raped because she wore seductive clothing (you know, “she had it coming!”) and I was merely pointing out that while there were in fact laws against teens being out after a certain hour, and how many teens can be in a car at the same time, there are *no such laws *against wearing a short skirt. Got it?

That last bit I added about stupidity was just for our dear teenaged readers. I didn’t want them to think that they are the only stupid ones. Why should they be left out?

Then you misunderstood my original post. I wasn’t equating the seductive clothing/rape scenario with curfew laws, I was equating the attitude that “they shouldn’t have been on the road in the first place”, with the implication that they somehow deserved to die for it, with the clothing/rape argument. Thought that was clear, but apparently nothing can be too dumbed-down up in this bitch.

Gee, you must be a genius to make such an awesome comment.

Wait and see. Just like the girl Jim Leyritz killed, I feel certain that the teens were up to no good themselves.

Oh, the irony.

You are priceless! Up to no good? Bwahahahaha!

Those nefarious teens were probably trying to take over the world again! Death to them all!

Fine. I take it all back. The five teens, in the middle of the night on a Saturday, were probably out picking up bibles at the 7-11.

Oh please. 7-11 doesn’t have bibles and I’m not even sure that part of NM even has 7-11 to buy nonexistant bibles from.

Why is it so hard for everyone here to comprehend the simple concept of teenagers not drinking alcohol or doing drugs?

Do all the clean teens have to stay home in your universe?

Are there not things for them to do at night where you live?

Excluded middle. Surely you’ve heard of it.
