DSN errors on home internet - help!

My home internet connection is driving me batty. I think ine of my kids did something, but I cannot figure out what. I can connect fine to my ISP, but every site I try to access, including the home page, returns a “cannot locate server/DSN” error. I have looked at all my settings and cannot figure out what is wrong. Any ideas?

FYI - it’s Bluelight internet (hosted by Spinway.com). I’m running Windows 98. The problem began suddenly last week, no problems in the 2 years prior.

You mean DNS (Domain Name System), not DSN.

According to this support page, cookies must be enabled to view any websites other than Bluelight’s. I’d check that first.

Double check your TCP/IP settings in Dial Up Networking for Bluelight to make sure that DNS is enabled. You may need to find the DNS server address for Bluelight and add that to the DNS server field. Type http://216.239.57.99 into the browser window and see if it loads Google, if so it indicates a DNS issue.
