About five minutes ago, a co-worker just walked up and cheerfully, for no reason at all, told me that when a duck quacks, it does not make an echo.
Apparently, he found this on the internet. Realizing that the internet is not the most reliable source for these tidbits of knowledge, I come to all of you. I’m doubtful of the claim, myself, but I’m also not an expert on sound. Is it true?
(And yes, I realize that this site is on the internet. But it’s a step above the rest of the glurge.)
