Ducks remind me of fighter jets

Used to hunt a fighter jet.

Years from now, when the hunter’s door bursts open and that duck is there, arrow and all, the hunter will know-

It was only a matter of time. :stuck_out_tongue:

Are you Seth McFarlane?

Ducks are among the fastest bird in level flight. Check out this list: of the top 10 fastest birds in level flight, 5 are duck species.

Ducks can regularly exceed 100 kmh, which is pretty respectable, I’d say.

Further to my last post, sorry to disagree with the OP but birds of prey = fighter jets, ducks are more like ground-attack aircraft, eg the Su-25 Frogfoot or A-10 Warthog

Ducks as nature’s fighter jets? That’s a pretty quack theory.

Sorry, we are going to have to bill you for that

No. More like bombers.

Now that I think of it, ducks bear very little resemblance to fighter jets

Apparently because one got shot down.

Two A-10 pilots were showing off at the lake last summer, just incredibly maneuverable jets, and awfully deadly even on a fine summer day. They have nothing in common with birds. I love to sit in a marsh on the coast in winter and watch the Teal play, they take off in small flocks, circle way upwind then come storming back to the marsh to splash in with hardly seeming to slow down. I can believe they fly 100 mph. But I could swear an A-10 can make square turns…
