I’m kind of amazed that people are actually arguing against what Lunch Lady Doris did. The man not only stole profit from the vendor, he contaminated a food item and then replaced it where it could be bought by some unsuspecting person. The guy could have had a cold sore, he could have had any number of respiratory viruses, he could have had meningitis and be still asymptomatic!

I don’t know…maybe because I don’t believe I’ve ever shoplifted, I have no sympathy for him. If he didn’t want to be hauled off to the campus security office, he shouldn’t have done what he did. Saying “It’s only a carton of milk” doesn’t mitigate shit for me.

The fact that people act this way is so depressing. Nailing them is the only way to expect them to act differently in the future.

So yeah, I definitely agree with the employee’s actions.
