I see this as kinda bad for Santorum as far as widening his appeal. But maybe that’s just where I live & the people I know, most of whom think the Duggars are wacko. Wouldn’t anyone who liked the Duggars values already favor Santorum out of the top 10 republican candidates?
Well that settles it for me.
Up until now, I was on the fence about Santorum.
They seem the perfect poster family for his campaign. After all, contraception harms women and society.
That’s why I wondered. Generally, it seems like political campaigns are more about widening appeal, not flying your (very polarizing) flag. Especially if those flag bearers are already on board.
Maybe he figures he’s got no realistic chance at the general republican and just wants to make a statement.
