Dunkin' Donuts: Reverse Stereotyping?

board ate my first post so here’s the quick and dirty

Detroit suburb area, DD employees = india, 7-11 employees = white

DD donuts kinda not so good now, go there for coffee type drinks send coffee purists into shock

I’ve absolutely noticed this. I am fucking certain every single Dunkin Donuts in my city, without exception, is staffed by Asians with minimal English language skills

There was a model hot girl working at Chick-Fil-A with me when I was in high school so I suppose it is possible.

The “West North Central” region is actually whiter (according to the 2000 Census) at 88.4% (vs 86.6%), but close enough.

Yeah, I suspect the OP is somehow related to this phenomenon. Over the past 15 years, I’ve lived in several different parts of the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Each place I’ve lived, there were probably 3 or 4 independent donut shops (I skip past the Dunkins) along my commute to work and I would eventually give them all a try. So about 25 different donut shops that I’ve tried, all in all. Every single one was owned/operated by Asians.

Their donuts/sausage rolls/etc. were mostly excellent in quality and I never had trouble communicating with the people working there.

Just here to say YAY FOR DD, BOO TO KK!

Edited to add that around here, WAAAY southern Cali, the doughnut shops are all mexican. Mexican doughnuts, mexican owners, mexican operators.
And they’re awesome, better than any chain.

I haven’t been to Manchester or Nashua lately, but I’ve been to the DDs in Salem, Lawrence, and Haverhill, and while the staff isn’t white as often as the other stores I go to, they’ve all spoken understandable English when waiting on us.
