Thousands of British were also left behind, but yes, the lion’s share of those who formed the rear guard to protect the evacuation were French. The truly ironic thing is that about 100,000 French soldiers were among the 300,000+ or so total evacuated, but most of them were sent back to France after a few weeks where they soon faced the fall of the Third Republic.
I guess I’m not in the consensus.
It’s Christoper Nolan so I have good expectations (although Interstellar). But I didn’t see anything particularly impressive in the teaser trailer.

But I’m seeing. Absolutely one of the most important and thrilling events of the 20th century. Oldest was visiting her affianced in Blighty and took photos of Dover Castle, special for me.
