My wife loves Durian and I don’t hate the taste myself. (so much for the theory that only men like it…).
The trick is to freeze it, it tends to lower the bad smell and make it like some kind of ice cream.
Worth a try, even if it is expensive.

My husband likes Durian, the king of fruits, but not me.
It took three trips to SE Asia before I could sense the fruitiness in the aroma.
I like Durian cookies, and Durian ice cream, but not Durians so much too strong for me.

Never seen it, never tried it …hell, never heard of it, but now I’m on a quest. I shall track this elusive animal/vegitable/mineral until I kill/grow/mine one and I will consume it with all of the vigorousity (whatever) that this ol’ southern boy can muster.
OK…really, what is it? The guy at Food Lion thought I was crazy (alright, we’ll leave that one alone for now)
