Whoops. False alarm, folks!
So the law got tossed out?
Well it was the bill or the mental midgets that came up with it. The midgets just got elected so…
Thanks are due to the Ontario-based Canadian Olympic Dwarf-Tossing Team, which objected to the proposed law on the grounds that they’d have to practice in Quebec.
It never became a law in the first place. A member of the provincial parliament tried to make it a law, but failed.
In Ontario we have a couple of laws dealing with dwarf walls (Fire Protection and Prevention Act and Building Code Act). Nothing about thowing dwarfs, flaming or not, over or into walls.
They can take my dwarf after they pry him from my cold dead hand…or if he escapes while I’m sleeping.
In an effort to find out the mechanics of the launch, if it was granny style or hammer throw or what, I came across this page that has a couple of (I assume) exemplary pics. It would appear that a harness and helmet are standard fare. Also, there’s a couple of record facts at the end.
I’m sure many of us can identify with his assertion that, should a dwarf not be available or willing, that a younger brother or sister can be substituted with similar results.
